Wind Energy
Teleconference
8-11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 3, 2004
Copper Country Intermediate School District
REMC 1, 809 Hecla St., Hancock
Topic: Wind Turbine
Noise Impact
The first in a series of public discussions
about the impact of wind energy will address the
noise impact of wind turbines. This
teleconference is part of a Delphi Inquiry
directed by Daniel Alberts, a graduate student
in Lawrence Technological University's Technical
and Professional Communication program. (A
Delphi Inquiry is an iterative series of open
discussions and surveys, which lead to a
consensus of informed opinions.)
In collaboration with the Energy Office of the
Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth
and the Michigan Wind Working Group, and with
generous logistical support from DTE Energy,
Daniel Alberts' inquiry will help state and
local authorities develop wind turbine siting
guidelines.
